Advancing Human Exploration and Building Expertise
Our nurses gain firsthand experience in operational and spaceflight analog environments, developing a deeper understanding of the physiological effects of gravitational forces, altered gravity, and simulated microgravity on the human body. These immersive experiences inform research, advance clinical expertise, and support the development of evidence-based nursing practices for human health and performance in space. The diverse expertise gained through these endeavors contributes to the collective knowledge, interdisciplinary perspective, and research capabilities of the Consortium.
*These experiences have been independently pursued by our nursing professionals through their individual research, training, and professional development activities, separate from the Space Medicine Nursing Research Consortium (SMNRC).
